Jennifer Dember enjoys this quote by Walt Disney...."We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."

Growing up

Jennifer Dember grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where she attended St. Anselm and developed a deep appreciation for the neighborhood’s melting pot of cultures and the diversity of her neighbors. Weekends often meant visits to her grandparents in Williston Park on Long Island, where she built cherished family memories. At the age of 12, Jennifer’s life took a new turn when her family moved to Mineola, and she began the 6th grade there, carrying with her the values and experiences shaped by both her Brooklyn roots and her time with family on Long Island.

Memories

Some of Jennifer Dember’s most treasured childhood memories are rooted in the simple joys of camping with her family. She remembers the warmth of nights spent around the crackling campfire, the smoky scent lingering in the cool air, and the way the glowing coals still shimmered softly in the morning light. The days were filled with sunshine, fresh air, and the laughter of her parents and grandparents, who made every trip feel special. Whether it was telling stories under the stars or waking up to the sounds of nature, those moments became lasting imprints on her heart, reminders of love, togetherness, and the beauty of the outdoors.

Origins

Jennifer Dember’s professional journey began in 2002, when she devoted herself to teaching yoga as a way to help others reduce stress and help with their therapy. For five years, she guided students in finding balance and peace through movement and mindfulness. In 2008, after delivering her baby, Jennifer experienced a turning point that shaped the next chapter of her career. The nurse who cared for her during that time left a lasting impression with her kindness, patience, and grace. Inspired by that experience, Jennifer felt called to enter the healthcare field herself, determined to embody those same qualities and to be the kind of person who helps others become their best selves.
